Hot-Stove: Rays Sign Utility-Man Jake Elmore to a Minor League Deal

The Tampa Bay Rays added another player to their camp roster on Monday, inking a minor league deal with utility-man Jake Elmore, which also includes an invitation to Spring Training. Elmore was dropped from the 40-man roster by the Pirates last week.

Projecting the Rays Offense in 2015 By Way of Steamer

A lot has been made of the Tampa Bay Rays off-season. And with just over a month to go until pitchers and catchers report to camp, a lingering question begs to be answered: After a lackluster 2014 in the box, what does the 2015 season hold for the Rays? Hot-Stove: Analyzing the Ben Zobrist/Yunel Escobar Trade

DRaysBay: Evaluating Asdrubal Cabrera, the Defender

I wrote about the acquisition of Asdrubal Cabrera the other day, and how the deal might be better than the initial gut reaction might assume — that is, supposing the Rays can cobble together a trade of Yunel Escobar. I included an offensive analysis of Cabrera in that article, while also incorporating a piece from Dock of the Rays blog which went into great detail on that very subject. Danny Russell (DRaysBay) took a look Cabrera the defender Thursday, and I thought I’d re-post that article below. After all, a complete view of the newest Ray must include all facets of Cabrera’s game.
