After the 5-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Friday, the Tampa Bay Rays welcome the Baltimore Orioles into Charlotte Sports Park for an early afternoon contest Saturday afternoon.

Chris Archer will take the mound for Tampa Bay, opposite of Yovani Gallardo and Baltimore. For Archer, this will be his fourth start of the Spring. The Opening Day starter has had some issues in the early innings his last two times out, and it will be interesting to see how the Rays ace will bounce back today. Also scheduled to pitch are Ryan Webb, Alex Colome and Andrew Bellatti.

A caveat; rain is in the forecast. In the event of a rainout, the hurlers will likely throw in the cages to get their work in.

― Evan Longoria, who fouled a pitch off his left shin Thursday, will make his return to the lineup this afternoon in the DH spot.

― The Rays have now gotten final approval for Cuban born OF Dayron Varona to make the trip to Cuba. As of Friday, the team was in a holding position awaiting final approval from the Cuban government for Varona, who defected in 2013, to be allowed into and out of the country.
