Noteworthiness

— Former Rays outfielder “Super” Sam Fuld did Super Sammy things in Team Isreal’s defeat of South Korea in the WBC on Monday. Fuld tracked down a fly ball to the right-center field gap, robbing Dae-Ho Lee of an extra base hit.

Israel went on to beat South Korea, 2-1, in extra innings.
