The New What Next: Rays Head to Chicago to Face the “Other” Sox

The Tampa Bay Rays hit the road Friday ahead of a long 10-day, 10-game road trip. First stop, the south side of Chicago for a four game wrap-around series against the 11-12 White Sox. The Rays are coming off a 3-4 home stand — one in which they dropped two consecutive games to the Twins, the first home series loss against Minnesota since 2006. Tampa Bay is now one of the hottest teams in baseball, having won their last two series while taking five out of the last six games. From here, the Rays will go on another 11 day — 10 game — road trip taking them through Chicago, Kansas City, and Colorado. First stop: US Cellular Field and a four game set against the White Sox. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

Better yet, Rodney still has ample opportunity to lay claim to soul possession of the Rays save record with seven …
