Looking Backward While Moving Forward: Rays Drop Third Straight, 8-7 in Extras
The Tampa Bay Rays took a 7-7 tie into extras Tuesday night, and walked away with an 8-7 loss in 13 innings. It was an eventful game to say the least, chocked full of ugly pitching from both sides, a couple of awkward fielding gaffes, too many replay reviews, and more pitching changes than I have fingers on both hands. The Rays are now four games under .500 for the first time this season, as their slim playoff hopes continue to whittle away.
