It will be interesting to see "which" Drew Smyly takes the mound this afternoon. The lefty has alternated between good and bad starts since returning from the DL.

The Tampa Bay Rays look to bounce back from an atrocious 10-4 loss Saturday night, by winning the final game of the series against the Boston Red Sox. I won’t be recapping Matt Moore’s craptastic outing (or David Ortiz’s historic homer) as I am hungover. Eric Hahmann (DRaysBay) did a fine job with a compact lil recap, head there to relive the game in all of its painful glory.

Rays 9/13/15 Starting Lineup

Guyer LH
Mahtook DH
Longoria 3B
Forsythe 2B
Souza RF
Beckham SS
Shaffer 1B
Kiermaier CF
Arencibia C
Smyly LHP

Noteworthiness

You can read about the Smyly/Hill pitching matchup in our series preview.

― Per Dave Haller (Tampa Bay Rays director of communications) last night was Ortiz’s 6th career multi-HR game at Tropicana Field, tying Carlos Pena for most all-time. (Yes, that includes Rays.)

― Kevin Cash said they won’t read too much into Moore’s outing, his stuff was good but he located his pitches poorly. He will make his next start as scheduled.

― LHP Xavier Cedeno, sidelined a week with left-side tightness, threw a bullpen session at the Trop before Sunday’s game.
