— For tonight’s game against the Giants, the Rays will wear the caps worn by their former Double-A team, the Orlando Rays (pictured above). Following the game, Rays players will autograph the caps, which will be auctioned at http://raysbaseball.com/auction on June 20th — with all proceeds benefitting the Pulse Victims. The Orlando Rays were an affiliate from 1999 to 2003.
— As I wrote in our series preview, the team optioned Ryan Garton back to Triple-A Durham. They corresponded by recalling RHP Steve Geltz.

In 7-2/3 innings with the Bulls, Geltz amassed an 0-1 record with a 3.52 ERA (but a 5.13 FIP) and a 9.39 K/9. He, however, walked six for a rather unimpressive — and frankly worrisome — 7.04 BB/9 and 2.00 K/BB.
