Is the Tampa Bay Rays vs. The San Francisco Giants. The Rays take the series in game 6. The best part of it is, Pat Burrell goes 0-24 with 24 swinging strikeouts! After his 24th strikeout in the 8th inning of game 6, Joe Maddon runs out and bitch-slaps him…setting a Tampa Bay Rays franchise record for the most postseason ejections by a manager. But, in the end the Rays are the 2010 World Series Champs, and Pat Burrell is still a loser.
These things crack me up…..
I’ve been thinking about writing a re-cap on the Rays vs. Angels series that just wrapped up at the Trop yesterday. After a lot of deliberation, I’ve decided to just move on from that series. I’m too pissed off about it, and honestly, it just doesn’t really matter that much at this point. So, here we are in the 6th inning of the first game of the most important series of the season…4 games in the Bronx vs. The Yankmes. The Yankmes are 90-59 and the Rays are 89-59, therefore, the Rays are .5 game back, with 14 regular season games left to play. It’s 4-3 Yankmes, but the Rays are making it a game as usual. So, anyway, moving on to bigger, better, and more important things!
Update: Make that 4-4 going into the bottom of the 6th!
Bret Michaels, recent winner of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, is performing live at Tropicana Field after the Rays vs. Marlins game on Saturday night, September 25th. I think he was in some popular hair-band back in the 80’s or something. Anyway, get your tickets here.
